Valentines Day, and its a Tuesday, and Yeovil are playing at a relatively easy place to get to. The result, of course is a severe conflict of wishes. Well, this time love won out and I decided to stay at home. Home being Southampton, I could not even get much of a signal on the radio commentary on Radio Somerset. In the car on the way home I did manage to gather that we were a goal down with barely a quarter of an hour on the clock. As I got home, after some late night shopping, I startled the driver of the car ahead but blowing my horn in celebration as the equaliser went in. A gap then ensued, made necessary by the valentines day exchange of gifts and kisses, until close to the end of the game when I managed to sneak a look at the internet and discovered, to my delight, that we were winning 3-2 with 90 minutes on the clock. Still not full time yet though. Still could not relax. Slowly the other scores turned from latest scores to results, but still Kettle played on in High Wycombe, until after eight long minutes our score also showed that vital F beside it signalling that we had gained another 3 points in our search for survival. Time, now at last, to turn my full attention to the kissing and romancing.
